  • C# sourcemap debugging when source is not in server folder

Our Bridge.Net JS project is pretty huge for a large website. We have 200+ cs files and we run and develop the HTML/CSS/JS in a separate repo/project.

On compile we copy the outputs (bridge js, css, html) to the server repo in another parent/child folder:

    parent
    - server (this contains asp net core)
    - client (this contains bridge.net)

With this setup, sourcemap debugging does not work when I run the server, as the .cs files are in the client folder.

Can you give a little more detail on what I would need to copy, what location and the general way the browser is trying to hook up and find the source code so I can make it work for my situation? At minimum I would like browser sourcemap support having it find the cs files in the client, and ideally I would like to be able to simply open the cs file from client in the server project (not open the entire client project) and have the debugger work there
